The UEFA press service has confirmed the introduction of quarterfinal games in the Nations League.
Previously, after the group stage matches, one team from four quartets advanced to the playoffs. Thus, the elimination games started from the semifinal stage.
Starting from September 2024, there will be 1/4 finals meetings, which will include the two best teams from each group in Group A.
The quarter-finals will be played in March in a two-match format, the group stage will end in November, while the decisive games will be played in June as before.
The third-ranked teams from Group A will fight against the second-ranked national teams from Group B, while the third-ranked teams from Group B will face the second-ranked teams from Group C.
Recall that Croatia and Spain will play in the final of the 2023 season in the League of Nations. The match will take place on Sunday, June 18 and will begin at 21:45 GMT+3.
