Borussia Dortmund winger and German national team player Karim Adeyemi has been recognized as the fastest player in the 2023/2024 Champions League, according to UEFA's technical report published on the official website of the association.
During the final match, where Dortmund lost 0-2 to Real Madrid, the 22-year-old Adeyemi reached a top speed of 37.8 km/h. He was followed closely in the rankings by Paris Saint-Germain defender Nuno Mendes, who clocked in at 37.2 km/h, and former PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, now with Real Madrid, who achieved a speed of 36.1 km/h.
In the recent 2023/2024 Champions League season, the German forward played in 12 matches, scoring two goals and providing one assist. In the ongoing 2024/2025 season, Adeyemi has participated in five Bundesliga matches, with two goals and one assist, as well as one match in the Champions League.
Earlier, UEFA named Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior as the best player of the previous Champions League season, while Mbappe was recognized as the tournament's top scorer.
