The match, held on March 23 in Tbilisi, ended with a convincing 6-1 victory for Georgia. After the final whistle, fans of the Georgian team began throwing plastic bottles towards the section with Armenian fans.

Following the two-match series, Georgia triumphed over Armenia with an aggregate score of 9-1 to remain in League B of the Nations League. The Armenian team will be forced to compete in Division C.
