The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) is considering introducing a salary cap in soccer, the head of the organization Aleksander Čeferin said.

In the future we have to seriously think about a salary cap. If the budgets go sky-high then our competitive balance is a problem. It’s not about the owners, it’s about the value of the competition, because if five clubs will always win then it doesn’t make sense any more.
On 25 April, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that UEFA intends to suspend Juventus from next season's European competitions if the Turin club is proven guilty of financial fraud. The Union is conducting its own investigation.
Following the results of the 47th ordinary congress of the organization, on April 5 Čeferin was re-elected as UEFA president in uncontested election. The Slovenian will serve in his post for the next four years.
