An insider has revealed that UEFA is considering sharing the award for the top scorer of the Euro 2024 championship among six players, which could be the first case in football history.
Before the tournament's final match, six players already have three goals each. These include forwards Georges Mikautadze (Georgia), Cody Gakpo (Netherlands), and Harry Kane (England), along with midfielders Jamal Musiala (Germany), Dani Olmo (Spain), and Ivan Schranz (Slovakia). Only Olmo and Kane have the chance to add to their goal tally in the final. UEFA used to consider assists and minutes played in case of a tie in goals, but later scrapped this rule.
As a reminder, the Euro 2024 final, scheduled for July 14 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin, will see Spain and England face off at 22:00 GMT+3.
