UEFA has decided to expand the squad size for the upcoming Euro 2024 championship to 26 players, as reported by the organization's press office.
The main continental team tournament will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14 of this year. The current European Championship holder is the Italian national team.
The UEFA executive committee has today decided to increase the maximum squad size of the teams participating in the upcoming Euro 2024 from the original quota of 23 to 26 players. Participating countries have until June 7 to provide UEFA with a squad list containing a minimum of 23 players and a maximum of 26.
Previously, Thomas Müller stated that Germany's goal for the home tournament is to secure first place.
