Turkish Referee and FIFA Inspector Suspended Due to Sex Scandal

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has revoked the licenses of Super League match inspector Orhan Erdemir and referee Elif Karaarslan amid a sex scandal.

This severe punishment followed the emergence of explicit video content featuring 61-year-old Erdemir and 24-year-old Karaarslan.

The Arbitration Committee of the Turkish Football Federation rejected the appeals of Erdemir and Karaarslan. The inspector has been suspended from football-related activities for 45 days, whereas the 24-year-old referee will be sidelined for 90 days.

It is important to note that the current FIFA regulations do not prohibit romantic relationships between referees.

In other news, former Turkish national team midfielder Serhat Akın was injured in a shootout incident.
