Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama believes the team needs just one win to turn their season around and push for a respectable finish in the English Premier League this season.
Spurs have struggled under Ange Postecoglou this season, and were recently eliminated from the FA Cup by Aston Villa and from the League Cup by Liverpool following a 4-0 thrashing.
In the Premier League, they are currently placed 14th with 27 points from 24 matches and have only won one in the last five games.
Speaking exclusively to Telecomasia.net, the former midfield powerhouse believes they have what it takes to turn their season around.
I think they have a very talented group of players and a good team overall. It is a rough patch which is not uncommon in football and they have to use it as motivation to try turn their season around. I believe one win will be enough to get their confidence back after the last two defeats in Cup competitions. A win will get them their rhythm and they will get back to winning ways.
Spurs have endured a long trophy drought and this season seems they will be heading that way again, but Wanyama, who was part of their team that reached the Champions League final, believes they will earn silverware soon.
