Thiago Alcantara Steps Down from Coaching Role at Barcelona

Former Barcelona and Spain international player Thiago Alcântara has left the coaching staff of the Catalan club, according to an announcement from the Blaugrana press service.

Taking his place in the coaching staff for the pre-season matches will be Arnau Blanco, who previously worked with Barcelona’s youth team.

Just a reminder, Alcântara joined Hans-Dieter Flick's coaching staff shortly after retiring from professional football in July of this year, serving as the German coach's assistant.

Alcântara announced his retirement on July 8, with Liverpool being his last club, where he had played since 2020.
