The Sun: Haaland Accused of Injuring Manchester City Mascot

The woman who was dressed as the alien mascot Moonbeam during the Manchester City match against Southampton (which ended 1-0) in October last year has accused City striker Erling Haaland of injuring her.

According to The Sun, the woman claims she was posing for a photo before the match when she felt two blows to the back of her head. Afterward, in a state of shock, she left the field and asked a colleague what had happened and who had hit her. The colleague informed her that it was Haaland who struck her from behind. The potential victim reported that some time after Haaland's hit, she experienced vomiting and headaches.

Sources highlight that an internal investigation found that the 24-year-old striker was not responsible for her injuries.

The report specifies that Erling Haaland has always gently patted Moonbeam on the back or head as a sign of appreciation. Allegedly, the footage shows that the Manchester City forward merely touched the mascot.

Currently, Manchester City are in fifth place in the Premier League table with 48 points.

Haaland has been with the team since July 2023, making 137 appearances, scoring 119 goals, and providing 18 assists.

Earlier, El Nacional reported that Haaland might leave Manchester City during the summer transfer window.
