The Guardian: England And Serbia Fans Brawl In Gelsenkirchen

English newspaper The Guardian reported about clashes between fans of the football teams of England and Serbia on the streets of the German city of Gelsenkirchen ahead of the match between the teams in the group stage of the European Championship 2024.

According to the source, the initiators of the brawl were British fans who attacked a bar where the Balkan tifosi were resting. After the scuffle started, about two hundred local police officers arrived on the scene. Fans of the "Three Lions" fled the scene.

Recall that the game between England and Serbia will be held on June 16 at the Veltins-Arena stadium and will begin at 22:00 GMT+3. Earlier the BBC reported on the possibility of incidents involving fans of the national teams.

June 16, The Sun reported that the Football Association of England (FA) threatened British ultras with deprivation of tickets for Euro 2024 matches and a ban on attending games of the championship of England in case of aggressive behavior.
