Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim has verbally agreed to take over as head coach of English club Manchester United, according to The Athletic.
Manchester United is prepared to pay Sporting Lisbon €10 million for the early termination of Amorim's contract. The coach is open to continuing his career in England.
Amorim has been at the helm of Sporting since March 2020, after previously working at Braga.
During Erik ten Hag's tenure as Manchester United's head coach, the club has spent over €650 million on new players.
