German goalkeeper of Barcelona in La Liga, Marc-Andre ter Stegen believes that Spanish football must have a goal-line technology system in place.
El Clásico took place in the 32nd matchday of the 2023/2024 season on April 21st in Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The match ended 3-2 in favor of Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid. In one episode of the game, the Blaugrana forward Lamine Yamal took advantage of a corner kick, successfully tapping the ball. The ball crossed the goal line partially, but Real's keeper Andriy Lunin managed to clear it back. Referee Cesar Soto Grado signaled no goal and upheld his decision even after consulting VAR.
Journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano quotes ter Stegen as saying:

According to Barcelona's head coach Xavi, his players still deserved to win the match against Real. Following this match, the Real Madrid club leads the La Liga table with 81 points. The Blaugrana are in second place, earning 70 points.
