Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag expressed his dissatisfaction with the club's current financial limitations in an interview with the Daily Mail.

But those are the choices we have made - and also it has something to do with financials and other restrictions we have to deal with. We made the choice for younger players and you can’t expect them to be at the (top) level.
Ten Hag noted that the team has high ambitions for this season and the future, urging patience as they have demonstrated their potential over the past two years.
It’s worth noting that the club reported losses of €113.2 million for the 2023/24 season. After five matches, the Red Devils have accumulated seven points and are currently sitting in 11th place in the English Premier League standings. Manchester United's next match is on September 29 at 18:30 GMT+3 against Tottenham.
