Cristiano Ronaldo, the 2016 European Champion and forward for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team, reportedly has doubts about continuing his career with the Riyadh team, according to TEAMtalk.
The 39-year-old forward wishes to compete for trophies but realizes that Al-Nassr's current roster lags significantly behind its rivals, making it difficult for the team to contend for victory in the AFC Champions League. It is worth noting that Ronaldo’s current contract with Al-Nassr expires at the end of June 2025, but sources indicate it could be extended if the club's management is willing to make the necessary transfers.
On December 30, 2024, Marca newspaper reported that the Portuguese is inclined to continue playing for Al-Nassr.
In the 2024/2025 season Ronaldo played in 12 Pro League matches, scoring ten goals and providing two assists, as well as in four Asian Champions League matches (four goals scored). The Transfermarkt website estimates the forward's market value at 12 million euros.
