Salem Al-Najdi, a left-back and winger for Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr, suffered a head injury while celebrating a goal scored by Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo during a match against Al-Riyadh.
The game, part of the group stage of the AFC Champions League, took place on September 30 in Riyadh and ended with a 2-1 victory for Al Nassr.
The 21-year-old Al-Najdi, who was substituted after halftime, jumped from the bench when Ronaldo scored the decisive goal in the 76th minute. In the excitement of the celebration, he accidentally hit his head on the roof, fell, and briefly lost consciousness.
Noticing the incident, the referee halted the match so that medical staff could provide assistance to Al-Najdi. Currently, he is feeling well and is preparing for the next match.
