The channel of streamer and owner of eSports club Izako Boars Piotr izak Skowyrski was blocked by Twitch moderation for insulting Sergio Ramos, a defender of Paris Saint-Germain and the Spanish national team.
The incident happened because of the FIFA 23 game. Izak emotionally insulted Ramos in Polish. Even though he apologized on his social networks, Skowyrski received a ban from Twitch. However, the ban will only last three days, not a week. The time limit was shortened because of a petition.
The new rules of conduct on Twitch went into effect on January 22, 2021. There is no need to search for lists of banned words on the platform. All that matters is to understand the principles and stick to the rules. There are plenty of words you can find online that the platform seems to have banned. In fact, Twitch hasn't officially provided a list. Based on the rules, we can conclude that swearing isn't forbidden on the platform, but it's forbidden to insult anyone.
Recall that FIFA 23 was released on September 30 and received mixed reviews from players. Critics, in general, warmly received the football simulator. A major patch for the game will be released in late October.
