Spain’s Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska addressed statements made by Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior, who claimed that the country should not host the 2030 World Cup unless the situation regarding racism improves.
The French publication RMC Sport quotes the minister as saying:

Respect for diversity is part of our DNA. The fight against hate crimes, both in sports and in general, is one of the priorities of the Spanish government and the Ministry of the Interior.
It is worth noting that the FIFA World Cup 2030 is set to take place in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, with opening matches also scheduled in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay. The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
