Head coach of the Italian national team Luciano Spalletti shared his thoughts on the outcome of the draw for the group stage of Euro 2024. Italy's opponents in Quartet B are Spain, Croatia and Albania.
La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted Spalletti as saying:
Looking at the group, they could have been quarter-final matches but all the issues come to a head, these are matches to be played. Nobody is ever happy to find themselves against Italy, being in the fourth tier is certainly not something that makes our opponents happy, but we have to think about ourselves and the level of football we can show.
According to the results of the draw, the opening match of Euro 2024 between Germany and Scotland will take place on June 14. The Italians will play their first game at the European Championship against Albania on June 15. Earlier women's moans were heard in the hall during the Euro-2024 draw.
