Head coach of the Spain national team Luis de la Fuente has commented on his team's victory at the European Championship 2024.
On July 14, the Spaniards defeated the English national team with a score of 2-1 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

I was sure that my players believed in me... for a year and a half they have been infallible. Now it's all happiness, pride and enjoying this moment that we have earned -- nobody gave us anything for free. This group of players can keep growing and improving because they don't get tired of it, of competing, of trying to win.
Spain became the European champions for the fourth time, having previously won in 1964, 2008, and 2012.
The European Championship took place in Germany from June 14 to July 14 across ten cities and stadiums in the country, with 24 national teams participating.
