England head coach Gareth Southgate has accused the English media of leaking important information ahead of the Euro 2024 matches.
Southgate told talkSPORT:
We're trying to win a football tournament and our own media are leaking tactical information two hours after we've walked off the training pitch. How does it help the team to give the Swiss - who might have been expecting us to play differently - three days to work out what we might do? I have to say it because it's the environment that we're working in.
Before the Euro 2024 quarterfinal match against Switzerland, British publication The Telegraph reported that Southgate plans to change the tactics of the England national team.
In the match against Switzerland, Southgate's players turned out to be stronger in the penalty shootout, winning 5-3.
In the semifinals, England will play against the Netherlands. The match will be held on July 10, the start of the meeting is scheduled for 22:00 GMT+3.
After the victory over Switzerland, Southgate admitted that this match was the best at the tournament in the performance of the England national team.
Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag criticized the head coach of the Three Lions for the team's performance at Euro 2024.
