According to Sky Sports, German coach Thomas Tuchel is the leading candidate to become the head coach of the England national football team. Tuchel has been out of work since May 2024.
Reports from October 11 suggesting that the coach could take charge of the Three Lions. Currently, the 51-year-old Tuchel is in negotiations with the Football Association (FA) and is close to being appointed. The two parties only need to finalize the details of the contract.
It’s worth noting that Tuchel has previous experience in the UK. He managed London’s Chelsea from January 2021 to September 2022, leading the team to victories in the UEFA Champions League (2020/2021) and the UEFA Super Cup (2021).
