Colombian pop singer Shakira has revealed how her life has changed since splitting from former Spanish national team and Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué.
Shakira told People magazine:
I'm in charge of these two kids, these two babies that depend on me so much. And I'm a single mother, I don't have a husband at home to help out with anything. In a way, it's kind of good not to have a husband because that…I don't know why it was dragging me down, man.
Piqué and Shakira parted ways in 2022 after 11 years together, reportedly due to the footballer's infidelities. They were never officially married.
It was reported that Shakira was hospitalized after the breakup with her partner. Piqué stated that the public is only aware of 10% of the details of their split.
