Former Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero has filed a lawsuit against the club for failing to pay him €3 million in salary. This was reported by AS.
Barcelona was obligated to pay Aguero salary for the first year of his contract for insurance. However, the insurance company refused to pay the player, stating that he has had heart issues since childhood.
Aguero claims that Barcelona owe him €3 million as compensation for the termination of his contract and has initiated legal proceedings against the club.
It is worth noting that Aguero joined Barcelona in May 2021, but retired from professional football in December of the same year after being diagnosed with a heart condition.
The former Manchester City and Argentina national team striker has expressed his desire to own a football club.
