Scotland's national team captain Andrew Robertson spoke out in an interview with ITVSport following the devastating loss to the German national team at the start of Euro 2024.

It’s a reminder of how tough this tournament is; you’re playing against world-class teams. We didn’t play to our maximum, and you have to do that. We’ll take tomorrow to be angry and disappointed at ourselves, then we have to be positive and ready for Switzerland, which will be another tough test.
On June 15, in the opening match of the European Championship 2024, the Germans outplayed Scotland with a score of 5-1. Notably, the only goal for the defeated team was an own goal by Germany's defender Antonio Rudiger, as the Scottish team failed to score.
