The press service of San Marino's national football team made an unusual statement after the team's historic victory against Liechtenstein in the UEFA Nations League which featured a chaotic mix of letters.
On November 18, under the guidance of coach Roberto Cevoli, the Serenissima triumphed over Liechtenstein with a score of 3-1 at the Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz during the sixth round of Group 1 in League D. As a result, San Marino earned seven points in four matches, placing first in their group alongside Gibraltar and Liechtenstein, and securing promotion to League C.
Notably, this victory marks the first time in its history that San Marino won an away match and also the first time they scored three goals in a single game.
