Journalist Rudy Galetti reported on his social media that Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah informed the management of the Reds about the desire to move to Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Arabian championship.
Al-Ittihad gave Liverpool time until August 28 to make a decision.
Earlier it was reported that Al-Ittihad offered the forward a contract for three years with a salary of €76 million.
Salah's contract with his current team is until the summer of 2025, Transfermarkt website estimates the market value of the striker at €65 million.
Last season the player played 51 games for Liverpool, scored 30 goals and gave 16 assists.
