Portal R7 reported that Sao Paulo intends to terminate the lease agreement with Lokomotiv striker Pedro Gabriel after new circumstances were uncovered in the player's domestic violence case.
In March 2023, the player's ex-girlfriend Amanda Nunes went to the São Paulo police with complaints of domestic violence and threats from Gabriel. The forward then asked the club to pull him out of training pending the outcome of the proceedings.
On April 19, screenshots of correspondence between Gabriel and Nunes appeared, showing the Lokomotiv player insulting the girl, reproaching her for receiving his expensive gifts and making death threats. Also, the striker made threats to the father of his former girlfriend.
According to the source, the management of Sao Paulo was horrified by the published information, because they did not expect the case to be so serious. The club is going to terminate the contract with the player. After new details are uncovered, Pedrinho risks jail time for death threats.
The striker has been on loan at the Brazilian club since January 2023 and his contract with Lokomotiv runs until the summer of 2026.
