Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, striker for Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team, will miss the first friendly match of his team before Euro 2024.
According to O Jogo, Ronaldo will not participate in the match against Finland on June 4. He will receive a week off from the national team coaching staff after the end of the Saudi Arabia championship.
The European Championship will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14. Portugal's opponents in the group stage will be the Czech Republic, Georgia, and Turkey.
Ronaldo signed a contract with Al-Nassr in 2023. In the current season, the forward has participated in 45 matches across all tournaments, scoring 44 goals and providing 13 assists.
Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals in national team competitions and is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time. He was the first player in history to win the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, and Italian Serie A.
Earlier, Al-Nassr's general director, Guido Fienga, revealed that Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at the club for the next season.
