Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken about his goals for the upcoming season.
Goal quotes Ronaldo as saying:
I think the goals for each season is the kind of the same, it's to do your best and win titles. If possible, to collect individual [trophies] as well but my goal is to be the same - to be the same Cristiano that you saw this season, to do my best, to achieve goals with Al-Nassr and with my Portugal national team as well. To maintain my level is what I'm looking for.
Last season, the Portuguese played 45 matches for Al-Nassr in all tournaments, scoring 44 goals and making 13 assists. The player's contract with the club runs until the end of June 2025. The Transfermarkt website estimates Ronaldo's market value at €15 million.
At the end of the season, Al-Hilal became the champions of the Saudi Pro League, also defeating Ronaldo's Al-Nassr in the final of the King's Cup.
Furthermore, the 39-year-old Ronaldo has been called up to the Portuguese national team for the European Championship - 2024, held in Germany from June 14 to July 14. The Portuguese will face Czech Republic, Georgia and Turkey in the group stage.
Al-Nassr general director Guido Fienga said that Ronaldo will stay at the club for the next season.
According to the publication O Jogo, the footballer will not play in the friendly match between the Portuguese national team and the team of Finland because of his week-long vacation after the end of the Saudi Arabian championship.
