Cristiano Ronaldo, the forward for Portugal's national team and Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, has responded to receiving an award from the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, Fernando Gomes, recognizing his contributions to the promotion of Portuguese football.
The 39-year-old star shared a post on one of his social media accounts, stating:
It is an honor to receive this award for my career with the National Team. There is still a lot to achieve! Thank you!
Ronaldo has been representing the Portugal national team since 2003, participating in 216 matches across various tournaments, scoring 133 goals, and providing 45 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated at 15 million euros.
During his time with the national team, Ronaldo has won both the UEFA European Championship and the UEFA Nations League. He has been named Portugal's Player of the Year four times and is the all-time leading scorer for both the Portugal national team and all international teams, with 130 goals.
Portugal's next match is scheduled for November 15 against Poland as part of the UEFA Nations League, starting at 21:45 GMT+3.
