Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of the Portuguese national football team and forward for Saudi club Al-Nassr, got into a heated exchange with a journalist during a press conference following the first leg of the UEFA Nations League quarterfinal against Denmark.
During the media conference, 40-year-old Ronaldo, while responding to a question about his ability to play a full 90 minutes and the criticism directed at his team, urged the reporters to stop asking “disrespectful questions” and look him in the eyes, rather than at their computers.
The first leg of the quarterfinal match for teams in League A took place on March 20 at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, where the Danish team secured a narrow 1-0 victory. Ronaldo started the game and played the full match.
On March 23, the Portuguese will host the Danes in Lisbon at the José Alvalade Stadium for the return leg.
On the same day, Ronaldo stated in an interview with the Maisfutebol portal that for him, the team's success always takes precedence over personal achievements.
