Striker of Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr Cristiano Ronaldo has been called up to the Portuguese national team for the qualifying matches of the European Championship 2024. This is reported by the press service of the Portuguese Football Federation (PFF).
The list published on September 1 includes 24 players. In September, the Portuguese national team will play two qualifying matches for Euro 2024. On September 8, the Portuguese will meet away with the Slovakian team, and on September 11 they will host the national team of Luxembourg in Faro.
Portugal have 12 points in four matches of Euro-2024 qualification and are at the top of the Group J standings.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr as a free agent in January 2023. This season, he has played four matches for the Riyadh-based club and scored five goals. The 38-year-old forward played 200 matches and scored 123 goals for the national team.
