Al-Nassr's Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken out about scoring more goals in 2023 than the young stars of world football - Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe.
According to the 38-year-old forward, it is not due to the easier level of the Saudi Arabian championship that he manages to score more goals.
Record quotes the Potruguese as saying:
Cristiano Ronaldo
As you said, well, the 54 goals I scored, there may be those who say it's easier because I'm in Saudi Arabia. But football professionals know that it is difficult to score goals, whether in Saudi Arabia or in Italy, Spain or Portugal. A goal is a goal. In a way, I feel even more proud to have beaten Haaland, Mbappé and Kane.
Recall, in 2023 Ronaldo scored 54 goals in 59 matches. Haaland scored 50 goals for Manchester City, Mbappe (PSG) and Kane (Bayern) scored 52 goals each. Earlier, the star forward said that he may end his career after the current season.
