2002 World Cup champion and 2008 Olympic bronze medalist Ronaldinho has selected his own Champions League dream team for the portal Give Me Sport.
However, the 44-year-old "Wizard" did not name Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, in his list of 11 deserving players.
Ronaldinho's complete Champions League dream team is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon.
Defense: Cafu, John Terry, Paolo Maldini, Roberto Carlos.
Midfield: Claude Makélélé, Kaká, Frank Lampard.
Forward: Thierry Henry, Ronaldo, Lionel Messi.
Although Ronaldinho effectively ended his professional career in 2015, the official announcement of his retirement was made in January 2018. From 2001 to 2011, the Brazilian played for Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and AC Milan. In the 2005/2006 season, he helped Barcelona win the Champions League title.
