Manchester City's English midfielder Rodri commented on the injury sustained in the second half of the FIFA Club World Cup final against Brazilian Fluminense (4-0).
The Mirror quotes Rodri as saying:
I almost cried after the tackle but I'm fine. I will be fine to play vs Everton, no issues.
On December 22, the Citizens defeated Brazilian Fluminense with a score of 4:0 and for the first time in history, thus becoming the winners of the club World Cup.
The trophy was the fifth for Manchester City in the calendar year 2023. After winning the 2023 Club World Cup, Guardiola described the outgoing year as an amazing year for Manchester City.
Rodri, 27, was named the best player at the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia. The 27-year-old Spaniard was substituted in the 74th minute of the final match after a rough tackle from behind by a Fluminense player.
