Declan Rice, the midfielder for London’s Arsenal, has been awarded the title of the best player for the first legs of the Champions League quarterfinals. This announcement was made by UEFA's press service.
The English player, who scored two goals from free kicks against Real Madrid in a 3-0 victory, surpassed PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the voting. Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski took third place, while Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni came in fourth.
The return matches of the Champions League quarterfinals are scheduled for April 15 and 16.
