According to Spanish outlet Relevo, former Barcelona and national team defender Sergi Roberto may be headed to the Italian Serie A club Fiorentina.
Reports indicate that the "Viola" are considering signing the 32-year-old free agent. Additionally, Roberto has attracted interest from two other Italian clubs, AS Roma and Como.
On August 11, the Blaugrana officially announced the departure of their academy graduate, Roberto, who has been with the first team since November 2010. Despite his contract expiring on June 30, the defender hoped for a new deal while participating in an individual training program.
During his time at Barcelona, Sergi Roberto won the Spanish league title seven times (2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2022/2023), lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy twice (2010/2011, 2014/2015), and was part of the UEFA Super Cup-winning team in 2015. Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €2.5 million.
