Relevo reported that the central midfielder of La Liga club Real Madrid and the Croatian national team Luka Modric will leave los Blancos at the end of his contract in June 2024.
The 38-year-old midfielder reportedly has no intention of extending his labor agreement with Real Madrid and wants to continue his career with another team. In November 2023, the Croatian's agent Borja Couce said that a move to one of the Saudi Pro League clubs is possible.
Sport reported in December 2023 that Modric could leave Real Madrid at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
The star Croatian midfielder has been a player of Real Madrid since August 2012. In the current season Modric scored one goal and made four assists in 16 played matches of the Example, and also played in five meetings of the Champions League. The Transfermarkt website estimated the market value of the midfielder at €10 million.
Modric is a three-time Spanish champion (2016/2017, 2019/2020, 2021/2022), a five-time UEFA Champions League winner (2013/2014, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2021/2022), a World Cup runner-up (2018) and third-place winner (2022), and a 2018 Ballon d'Or winner.
