In the 1/32 final match of the FA Cup between Brentford and Wolverhampton the head referee Tony Harrington showed an oval red card.
The referee removed the Wolves player Joao Gomes from the field in the ninth minute of the meeting.
It is noted that the shape of the card is necessary to be seen by players who have difficulties distinguishing colors. The yellow card has kept its rectangular shape.
It also helps the referee to differentiate the cards in their pocket during the game.
