Spanish journalist José Luis Sánchez has disclosed the true reason for the omission of Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe from the French national team for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches in November.
According to the source, Mbappe informed French national team coach Didier Deschamps that he needs to restore his optimal shape. This was the reason he was not included in the final squad.
It is worth noting that Mbappe is missing the second consecutive call-up for matches against Belgium (2-1) and Israel (4-1). Previously, it was reported that the forward was absent due to a muscle injury.
On November 14, the French team, also known as Les Bleus, will face Israel. Three days later, on November 17, they will take on Italy in a match that will take place in Milan.
Recently, coach Didier Deschamps commented on Mbappe's situation, noting that the player was spotted in a nightclub during the match against Israel in the Nations League. According to Footmercato, Mbappe prefers to participate in the national team only for important matches.
