According to Defensa Central, Norwegian striker Erling Haaland of Manchester City could leave the English team during the next transfer window.
The report states that the forward is interested in playing for Real Madrid. However, the Spanish club plans to sign him only under one condition: if one of their Brazilian wingers, Vinicius Junior or Rodrygo, leaves the team. Real's management reportedly envisions their attacking lineup with Frenchman Kylian Mbappe on the flank and Haaland at the center forward position.
Haaland, 24, joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in July 2022. Since then, he has played 102 matches for City, scoring 97 goals and providing 14 assists.
His contract with the Citizens runs until the end of June 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates the Norwegian's transfer value at €180 million.
Moreover, Marca reports that Manchester City is close to finalizing a new employment agreement with Haaland.
Earlier it was reported that the Norwegian has scored more goals in three matches of the 2024/25 Premier League season than any other team in the league.
