Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Real Madrid are interested in former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp, who currently serves as a Red Bull's Head of Global Soccer.
According to the source, Real representatives have contacted the German coach twice to inquire about his plans. It is noted that Jürgen Klopp does not intend to return to coaching anytime soon.
Klopp left his position at Liverpool, where he won the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League, after the 2023/24 season, citing fatigue as the reason for his decision.
Currently, Carlo Ancelotti is the head coach of the Madrid team. The Italian previously managed Real from 2013 to 2015 and returned to the club in 2021. During his tenure, the team has won the La Liga championship, two Copa del Rey titles, one Spanish Supercup, two UEFA Supercups, and two FIFA Club World Cups.
This season, Real Madrid were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League, losing 1-5 on aggregate to Arsenal in the quarter-finals. In La Liga, the team holds second place with 72 points, trailing leaders Barcelona by four points.
Last Saturday, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid in the final of the Copa del Rey.
Additionally, Sky Sports reported that Carlo Ancelotti may leave the Madrid club as early as next week.
