Real are guaranteed to earn €30 million in the group stage of the tournament, and if they win all their matches, the amount will increase to €35 million. If the Madrid team wins the tournament, their total earnings will reach €100 million – an amount equal to what the club earned for winning last season's Champions League.
In the group stage, Real will face Al-Hilal, Pachuca, and Red Bull Salzburg.
Earlier, the president of Spain's La Liga, Javier Tebas, called for the cancellation of the Club World Cup. It was also reported that FIFA wants to invite Inter Miami with Lionel Messi to the tournament.
