Real Madrid Set Unwanted Champions League Record in Match with AC Milan

Real Madrid have set an unwanted record during their fourth round match of the Champions League group stage for the 2024/25 season, suffering a 1-3 defeat to AC Milan.

According to data from Opta Sport, Real Madrid allowed nine shots on target against them, marking the worst performance for the club in home matches during the Champions League group stage since data collection began in the 2003/04 season.

In the overall Champions League standings, Real Madrid currently sit in 17th place with six points after four rounds of matches. AC Milan also have six points and are positioned in 18th place.

After the match, manager Carlo Ancelotti noted that his team is lacking in solidity in defense.
