Real Madrid's press service reported a torn inner meniscus of the knee in 31-goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, which he suffered at the team's training session on March 19.
The statement from the Madrid press office reads:
After the tests carried out today on our player Thibaut Courtois, he has been diagnosed with a tear of the internal meniscus of his right knee. The injury occurred during today’s training session.
It was expected that Courtois would protect Real Madrid's net in the match against Manchester City. However, the goalkeeper is expected to recover in time for pre-season training.
