Forward from Palmeiras and the Brazilian national team Endrick shared his thoughts after the Pentacampeões were defeated in the quarterfinals of Copa America 2024.
On July 7th in Paradise (USA), the Canary Squad lost to the Uruguay team (0-0 in regular time and 2-4 in a penalty shoot-out), ending their tournament run. The 17-year-old Endrick started the game and played the full match but did not manage to score.
Endrick was quoted as saying by Marca:
Now I think about Real Madrid. It’s very difficult to talk about the match because unfortunately we were eliminated. But now, my head is in Madrid.
When Endrick reaches 18 years old in July 2024, he will sign a contract with Real Madrid, as announced in December 2022. In the 2024 season, Endrick played in six matches in the Brazilian Serie A (without scoring) and in five Copa Libertadores matches (two goals, one assist). According to Transfermarkt data, the forward's market value is 60 million euros.
