Midfielder of Real Madrid, former player of the German national team Toni Kroos can extend his contract with the club for another season. This is reported by the Cadena SER media outlet.
According to the source, the management of los Blancos is interested in extending the contract with the 34-year-old German, whose contract expires in the summer of 2024. The club is ready to offer him a contract extension for another season, but Real Madrid is not sure that they will be able to agree on it with Kroos.
It is also noted that los Blancos are not going to sign the midfielder in the summer and are expecting a positive response from Kroos.
The midfielder has been playing at Real Madrid since July 2014. In total, the midfielder took part in 446 matches, scoring 28 goals and making 96 assists. Kroos is a five-time winner of the UEFA Champions League.
This season, Kroos has taken part in 29 matches in which he has scored one goal and given seven assists. The Transfermarkt website estimates the transfer value of the German midfielder at €14 million.
Earlier Kroos promised that he would never play in Saudi Arabia, and was booed by the fans of this country during the semifinal match of the Spanish Super Cup against Atletico (5:3 in overtime).
