Real Madrid legend Hugo Sánchez has commented on the opinion that the Spanish national team may have deliberately chosen their opponent in the round of 16 of the World Cup.

The meeting between Spain and the national team of Japan was held on December 1 and ended with the victory of the Japanese with a score of 2-1. Spain won the second place in Group E because of the defeat and will play Morocco in the round of 16 of the tournament.
Thanks to the victory against Spain, Japan took first place with six points. The Japanese national team will play Croatia in the round of 16 of the World Cup.
