Real Madrid have officially informed Liverpool of their interest in 26-year-old English right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to reports from talkSPORT.
While los Blancos are not required to notify Liverpool formally about their desire to sign a player whose contract expires this summer and who could negotiate a pre-contract agreement with another club as early as January, the Spanish club has chosen to show respect to Liverpool.
Alexander-Arnold is a product of the English club's academy and has been a key player for the Reds since July 2016. He has made a total of 325 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals and providing 83 assists. The player's transfer market value is estimated at 70 million euros by Transfermarkt.
